February 25th, 2017 - LaPlants Begins 2017 Season at DIRTcar Nationals in Florida
1Charles LaPlant kicked off the 2017 season on Monday night at Volusia Speedway Park (Barberville, Florida) for the opening night of the UMP DIRTcar sanctioned DIRTcar Nationals. In a field of 43 Super Late Models, LaPlant qualified ninth fastest in his qualifying group before registering an 11th place finish in his heat. Needing a 3rd place finish or better in his B-Main to make the main event, Charles came short of a 30-lapper with a 11th place outing.

1After persistent rain in the area cancelled both Wednesday and Thursday’s events, Charles was one of 48 cars signed in on Friday for the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series sanctioned event. Taking the Top 3 out of the heats, Charles recorded a 7th place finish transferring him into the B-Main.  Starting in 8th, LaPlant held his position for the entire distance of the 10-lap consolation event posting a 8th place finish.

For the final night of the 46th annual DIRTcar Nationals on Saturday, LaPlant placed 10th in his heat transferring him into the B-Main for one final shot at the $10,000-to-win finale. Sending the Top 3 into the 40-lapper, LaPlant posted a 9th place outing bringing an early end to his night.

December 17th, 2016 - Charles LaPlant Competes in Gateway Dirt Nationals
1Closing out the 2016 season, Charles LaPlant made the short trip to The Dome at America’s Center (St. Louis, Missouri) on Thursday for the VP Racing Fuels Gateway Dirt Nationals presented by Karl Performance. Drawing a stout field of 97 Super Late Models for the three-day event, LaPlant earned the 8th-starting spot for his heat based off his two rounds of time trials. Transferring only the heat race winner into the $5,000-to-win opening night feature, Charles headed to the C-Main after coming short of transfer spot. Needing a 4th place finish or better to make the B-Main, Charles logged a 7th place outing.

October 29th, 2016 - LaPlant Returns to Action at Clarksville for Halloween Special
1Running in the Big Mo’s Scary 40, Charles LaPlant invaded Clarksville Speedway (Clarksville, Tennessee) on Saturday night for the UMP DIRTcar sanctioned program. Following the 10th fastest time overall in a field of 25 cars, LaPlant placed 5th in his heat sending him into the B-Main. Transferring the Top 6 into the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Charles was unable to make it out for his consolation event.

July 30th, 2016 - Charles Visits Legit Speedway Park for MARS Series Event
1With the weather ruining his plans to attend the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS) event on Friday night at Batesville Motor Speedway (Batesville, Arkansas), Charles LaPlant headed to Legit Speedway Park (West Plains, Missouri) on Saturday for the MARS DIRTcar Series sanctioned program. With 31 Super Late Models signed in, LaPlant placed 7th in his heat transferring him into the B-Main. Needing a 2nd place finish or better to make the $3,000-to-win A-Main, Charles fell back to a 7th place outing.

June 11th, 2016 - Charles LaPlant Heads to Eldora Speedway for Dirt Late Model Dream
1Competing in the 22nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream, Charles LaPlant returned to action on Thursday night making the trip to Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio) for the three-day UMP DIRTcar sanctioned event. In a stout field of seventy-two cars, Charles logged a 9th place outing in his heat sending him into the B-Main for another shot at one of the two opening night features. Needing a 4th place finish or better to make the $5,000-to-win A-Main, LaPlant registered another 9th place finish.

On Friday for the second night of preliminary events, LaPlant recorded a 9th place finish in his heat race transferring him into the B-Main. Transferring the top four into the $10,000-to-win A-Main, Charles logged a 13th place outing.

Closing out the 22nd Annual Dirt Late Model Dream, Charles LaPlant was slated to start 12th in his heat race. Holding his position to record a 12th place outing, LaPlant would have one more shot at the $100,000-to-win A-Main with a B-Main appearance.  Sending the top four into the 100-lap finale, Charles retired a 17th place finish.

April 16th, 2016 - LaPlant Returns to Action at Batesville Motor Speedway
1Back behind the wheel of the LaPlant Transport #3c Super Late Model, Charles LaPlant traveled to Batesville Motor Speedway (Locust Grove, Arkansas) on Friday night for the Bad Boy 98. With forty-five cars signed in for the two-day special sanctioned by both the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and the COMP Cams Super Dirt Series (CCSDS), LaPlant logged a 11th place outing in his heat after failing to make it out for the 12-lap preliminary event. With a B-Main appearance on Saturday for one more shot at the $20,000-to-win A-Main, Charles packed up and headed home early late Friday night.

December 10th, 2015 - Charles LaPlant Captures One Win on 2015 Season
Competing in a total of twenty-seven events, Charles LaPlant notched one victory during the 2015 season. With the rain determining the outcome of twelve of his planned dates, LaPlant recorded five top ten finishes. He also scored two top five outings.
